I did these for some Christmas presents a few years ago but this blog is as good place as any to put them on. I have a lot of friends that are into Pokemon and I wanted some get them something that they would really like, so I drew every ones favourite Pokemon and made them into a cross stitch. Every one really liked them so I would like to do some more of these some day.
So here is the first on I did which is Lucario.
I like to draw out the patter so I know that only I can follow it.
and here is the finished stitched version of Lucario. You can see it all framed in the Gallery above.
I enjoyed making the Vegeta keyring so much that I decided to me one for myself as well, there are very quick to make and I can do one in a day if I just sit there and do it solidly. so, here is the design for the Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z.
Here you go, this is the dog cross stitch all finished I am really Happy with this one and like all the colours on it. I like doing things like this because there easy and quick, and I know that this is the only one. Maybe I can stitch some more dogs in the future.
The is another little cross stitch I did for my friend at work, He wanted me to make another cross stitch for his Grandma this time of a dog, for her birthday. So this is the drawing I did before it started to stitch it.
I then played around with the colours and came up with this. I find it easier to follow a pattern in colour instead of black and white. I really enjoyed doing this one, and I really liked the colours.
To keep myself busy I also do some little projects in-between my other ones. My friends birthday was coming up and I know he was into Dragon Ball Z, so I designed a little keyring based on the Character Vegeta. As always I started drawing and ended up with two patterns.
I bases I off an 8 - bit version I found on the internet, but I changed the colours around a bit to create both of patterns. This was just the design I was looking for because I was going to stitch this on plastic canvas using half stitches. Below is the finished keyring -
As promised, here is the finished picture of Lady the cat. Unfortunately it is not framed because I had to hand in over that way. Im still really happy with this but it would be nice to mess around with the colours a bit more.
What better place to start then the beginning. The cross stitch was the one that started off the idea of me designing my own patterns in the first place. I was some one at work who came up to me and asked if I could design him a cat for his grandma for Christmas. He also wanted is personalised as the cat was called Lady. I said yes of course and started doing some sketches which led to the picture below.
He was very happy with this so I started changing it into a cross stitch pattern.
Bit rough I know my I knew what it meant.
I then started to stitch it, which you can see in the next post.
This is my new blog where I will be posting all my cross stitch projects. All my designs will be on here. Hope you like them, and if you have any request let me know and i will have a go. =D. Keep your eye peeled of some new stuff on here and maybe take a look at my gallery. . . when I get it up and running.
